Some people from the Banning-Beaumont area ventured up to Idyllwild on Saturday and Sunday for Jazz in the Pines
On their way they got to travel Highway 243 for the first time since the fast-moving Silver Fire broke out Aug. 7.
A solo vehicle crash temporarily closed the road and delayed some motorists headed to Jazz in the Pines on Saturday, but there was plenty live entertainment that afternoon and evening, and again on Sunday.
