VIDEO: Music Video Features Beaumont Lights Display

Check out this music video that uses a new version of the Christmas lights anthem "The House on Christmas Street" to highlight the Beaumont home of Councilman David Castaldo.

"All the cars on California Avenue just can't pass it by."

That's just one of the original lines added to Grammy® nominated singer-songwriter Judy Pancoast's "House on Christmas Street" specific for the home of Beaumont Councilman David Castaldo.

, synchronized to nearly two dozen different holiday tunes.  His 14,000 square foot front yard has also been decked out with an electric train running on a 30 foot track, and giant Christmas Tree light displays.

Pancoast headed to the Castaldo home on Nov. 29 to perform a free concert to the public, including her lights-display anthem "The House on Christmas Street."  (Check out all the photos from the event, courtesy of Rodrigo Pena Photography.)

The attached video highlights the home, with the modified song written by Pancoast just for the Beaumont location.

Castaldo says his lights display will be up through Jan. 2.

You can catch the synchronized light show as follows:

  • Sunday through Thursday: 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 5 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve (Dec. 24): all night long
  • New Year's Eve: 5 p.m. until midnight

Remember, you can vote on your favorite lights displays around town, and help win $100,000 for local schools in our Patch "Deck the House" contest!

No offense to you, Renee, but I've seen just about enough about this one guy's house by now. He's had his 10 minutes of fame, and everyone else's 10 minutes of fame. Perhaps highlight other houses in town whose families took the time to decorate and are being ignored? There are actually a few of us left who enjoy Christmas displays that aren't brighter than Vegas.

No offense taken! I just came across this YouTube video so I thought I'd share it :) I will try to get a list together of other houses in town with nice lights displays as well... and I'll gladly take some suggestions of ones people may have seen around town!

I agree with highlighting other houses in our area, for the children in those houses would be thrilled to see their homes pictured. I never thought about it before, but Christmas is turning into a nice family event into a Vegas show. I don't like it very much. Other families, and especially their children, would love to see their homes posted either here or in the paper, also. Do you have to get permission from the homeowner before posting a picture, I wonder? If not, just ride around and snap away!

I was at that show. I paid an extra 20.00 for the VIP ticket to sit in a chair, have a tent over my head and to give the Rotary Foundation a donation. The teens from the Beaumont Interact Club directed traffic, provided safety, directions, and served cookies and hot drinks. The singer was so perfect for all the kids and families and she stayed and signed autographs for everyone, even in the cold. Young and old danced and sang to the special-Beaumont-versions of Christmas songs. We pledged to the flag, and prayed with the minister. The lights on the house were beautiful, plentiful, ( I hate to think I had to expect my husband to put them up) and the singing tree faces made me smile. Kids and adults huddled together to get in front of the News 4 camera to just say" HELLO FROM BEAUMONT" I am a visitor to your town, and I think you missed the Christmas Spirit If you cannot find any JOY in this event. It's Christmas don't Hate. Marcia Carolina
