A Beaumont firefighter will be featured on an episode of the longstanding game show Wheel of Fortune on Tuesday night, but locals will have to tune in to see what he wins.
According to publicists for the show, Frank Lopez will spin to win on Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m. on KABC (channel 7 for most Banning and Beaumont residents.)
Lopez recently retired from firefighting after 34 years on the job, and lives in Beaumont with his family. He is married with three daughters-- one who was adopted via the foster system, according to Wheel of Fortune spokeswoman Leslie Jacobe.
"He is a big fan of “Wheel” and has been watching the show for many years," Jacobe said. "Frank stays active in the community and plans to work more with foster children and wounded veterans now that he has more free time in retirement."
Lopez, who won his spot on the show at a regional "Wheelmobile" event, says he hopes to take his wife on a trip if he wins, according to Jacobe.
