Councilman Brian De Forge was honored as Citizen of the Year by the Beaumont Chamber of Commerce.

De Forge was surprised with a "This Is Your Life" presentation at a Jan. 17 dinner at the Grand Oak Steakhouse. At the end of the program, he and childhood friend Adrian Chatigny delight the crowd with a Blues Brothers impression.

Washy, Did you read the "short" story? The Beaumont Chamber of Commerce honored Mr. DeForge at their annual installation dinner. Why does an event like this prompt a comment like yours? Is everything that happens here in the Pass now subject to "conspiracy theories?" You better get your typing fingers ready. The Banning Chamber is having their installation dinner tonight.

the chamber of commerce is a lobbyists group - doesn't generate revenue, it takes money from local governments...and the tax payer....
