An overhead power line failed in the Poppet Flats area and caused an outage today that initially affected 805 homes and businesses, a Southern California Edison official said.
The outage was reported at 6:22 a.m. in the unincorporated area. Work crews were able to restore power to as many as 221 customers by 11:23 a.m., SCE spokeswoman Lauren Bartlett said.
A full restoration of power was estimated at 5 a.m. Monday, Bartlett said. It was not immediately known what caused the power line to fail. --City News Service
