Noble Creek Park Back Open in Beaumont After Fire Camp Clears Out

Though the park will be open on a limited basis this Thursday and Friday, it closes again Saturday for annual maintenance.

Now that the camp which housed Silver Fire personnel has cleared out of Noble Creek Park, the Beaumont facility is back open to the public, Patch is told.

The park, which closed to the public the day the Silver Fire broke out south of Banning on Aug. 7, will only be open for a couple days-- and on a limited basis-- until it closes again.

"Noble Creek Park is open however the dog park, tennis courts, hockey arena remain closed," According to Beaumont-Cherry Valley Recreation and Park District Spokeswoman Diane Gonzalez.  "We are not holding any practices on the ball fields due to repairing some of the damage to the fields from the fire camp.  We are holding Adult slow pitch on fields #5 & 6 only tonight and tomorrow."

According to Gonzalez,  the park will be open Thursday and Friday.  It then closes again on Saturday, Aug. 17 for annual renovations and seeding.

"There will be no admittance to the park during that time," Gonzalez said. "The Dog Park, Tennis Courts, Hockey arena, Ball Fields, RV Park, Horse Arena, RC Raceway all will be closed during this time. "

The park is scheduled to reopen on Aug. 31.

Though the park facilities will be closed for those two weeks, but community center will remain open during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
