A 14-year-old girl has gone missing from California Family Life Center, a group home in Hemet, and law enforcement are looking for her, a Sheriff's Department spokesman and Hemet police tell Banning-Beaumont Patch.
Julia Eppley is originally from Lompoc, and she was reportedly last seen Oct. 2 after completing a day of school at West Valley High in Hemet, according to family friend Lindsay Bailey-Lindskog.
Bailey-Lindskog started a Facebook campaign Oct. 6 in her efforts to find Julia, and one of her posts had been shared more than 33,000 times as of Wednesday morning.
"There's an investigator assigned," Deputy Albert Martinez of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said Wednesday morning. "There's no indication she's in harm's way.
"This has happened before with her, where she's gone missing," Martinez said. "There's no evidence of a kidnapping or foul play."
Hemet police are also aware of the search for Julia.
"Our officers know she's missing and we are looking but it is the SO's case and we will defer comment to them," Hemet police Capt. Charles Webb said Wednesday morning.
"We are aware of the Riverside County Sheriff's case and the multiple postings on various Social Media," Hemet police Sgt. Nate Miller said Tuesday night.
