A local church with ties to Banning and Beaumont is hosting a free "harvest carnival" this Tuesday and is inviting all to come out and enjoy a safe family activity to celebrate Halloween.
New Creation Church will hold the event at their Beaumont location the day before Halloween, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
"This event is done to provide a safe place for the family and kids in the pass area to come and have a great time," Communications Pastor Juan De La Fuente Jr. said. "We are inviting everyone in the community to come out."
Some of the highlights of the carnival include performances by the Riley’s family band from Oak Glen, Sqwyky G and Du2ce, De La Fuente said.
They'll also be a trunk or treat going on, along with rides for children. In addition, Beaumont Mayor ProTem David Castaldo will be on hand with his fire truck for the kids, the pastor said.
New Creation Church is located at 1252 Beaumont Ave., just south of Oak Valley Parkway.
