Lesbian Couple Welcomes Baby at 12:12 on 12-12-12 at Banning Hospital

The hospital says the baby was was born at precisely 12:12 p.m. on the unique date of Dec. 12, 2012.

New moms Sor and Breea Dansereau welcomed the birth of their baby boy on not only a unique date—but at a unique time.

Baby Damion was born on Dec. 12, 2012 at exactly 12:12 p.m., according to hospital officials at Banning's San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital.

"Everything has to do with the number 12," said mother Breea Dansereau. "We were very excited. Brenda (Heckenlaible, RN) was the best nurse ever, and was just amazing. She was very reassuring– it was a really great experience."

The time of birth of Damion Angelo Dansereau—who weighed in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 21 inches long—was confirmed by Kari Spoelstra, RN and Perinatal Educator.

Mother Sor Dansereau, of Beaumont, gave birth to Damion and was all smiles with her new bundle of joy, as seen in the photo above.

Only one other baby was born at the Banning hospital on Dec. 12.

But I don't understand why NOT start the article like that? Perhaps Lesbians (and those who support them) what to read about other Lesbians. This caught my eye so I clicked the link to read more. Perhaps the parents are proud and wanted their Lesbianism to be pointed out.
Breea December 14, 2012 at 01:18 AM
We are the proud parents of this baby boy it was an amazing day. We are a two parent family and have five children besides the neborn lol fathers are not always needed

This is way outta some of you kids Pay Grade, so let me give ya'll a little help here: This story is NOT about promoting sexual preferences, nor is it an attempt to woo one political ideology or another----simple fact is, the "piece" is about a child born at 12/12 on 12/12/12---which will not happen again for a hundred years---and so the parents being Lesbian is but an interesting aside, and simply one that was duly noted by the author...most likely to fill space rather then for any other reason. But being as how I always "see beyond" the surface, I gotta say, there are a couple other "interesting asides" in the mix--like fer instance, what's the odds of a lady name'a "Sor" being just that after giving birth? And if nobody else noticed the striking resemblance twix't the new "Daddy" and Woody Allen, well----ya'll just ain't payin' close enough attention to details, so thank The Good Lord that Woody there wasn't a Rattlesnake, 'cause by golly, dollars ta do-nuts, you woulda got nailed. And now I go away now with a couple questions not answered, like....how many SECONDS past 12:12 was it? Be somethin' if it was 12, yeah huh? And also, how'd that dang scampy lil' bOOger "Woody" knock up ol' Sor there? What with me bein' a Traditionalist Rug Muncher, and a Male Lesbian my own damn self, and regardless bein' "snipped", now I'sa worried----spit can't do that...can it?
Breea December 14, 2012 at 01:53 AM
Wow not woody allen but cool and its called a sperm donor some was funny some was whack
don December 14, 2012 at 02:36 AM
I don't think I have to state the obvious? Coward? I'm not criticizing just stating my feelings. Congratulations
bth December 14, 2012 at 03:12 AM
First of all congrats!!! And for the rest of you ignorant people out there, whos to say you can't title the article the way it's titled, If the "lesbian" part would have been left out people would make issues of that too, regardless of thier sexual oriantation they'll be great parents being gay/lesbian won't take away from that. And as far as the whole important date in history, the sequence of the same numbers happens more often than not ex 10-10-2010, 11-11-2011 etc get over it!!!!!! people are just caught up in the whole 2012 thing.

I thought this article was writtten well and brought goof news. But after reading all these comments it changed my mind. If this couple have five other children at home and can afford to take care if them and another, good for them. Now if the tax payers r picking up the tab, that's a different story.

The baby has a happy home with loving parents. How sad that there is another troll on this site.
Jessica Rowley December 14, 2012 at 02:27 PM
Congratulations!!! This is beautiful, my gf and I are expecting! So that means another beautiful baby born with 2 wonderful loving mom's! :)
ATC December 14, 2012 at 02:33 PM
And I don't understand why you WOULD start the article like that, Cindy. In fact, the "lesbian" angle is entirely irrelevant to this story, which is about a child being born at 12:12 on 12/12/12 (BTW, does anybody really believe that the birthing time wasn't manipulated at least a little bit to occur at 12:12pm?). Cindy, how many articles have you ever seen with a headline reading: "Heterosexual Couple Welcome Baby..."? I rest my case.
lo December 14, 2012 at 02:38 PM
Im a lesbian women myself, don't let anyone tell y'all.different. I think its a beautiful thing. I cnt wait to have another one with my love. But Congrats<3
David Rempel December 14, 2012 at 03:00 PM
ANd another twist--the baby's initials are DAD, as in who was the sperm donor? Just like anyone else, he's got his 46 or so chromosomes from somewhere and will have to work things out as best he can.
Someone December 14, 2012 at 03:00 PM
Stop with the hate! I can't read anything nowadays without somebody having some hateful things to say. :( May God bless this amazingly beautiful baby and his wonderful mothers.
stephanie December 14, 2012 at 04:32 PM
Wow people. Congratulations to the happy couple. :) why's there always have to be arguing? Why not just be simple and move on.
nobodyuno December 14, 2012 at 05:33 PM
The patch is hardly an outlet of the liberal media... Couldn't you just have said congratulations on the birth of your baby boy??? Another example of someone thinking they've got the right to POOPIE on someone else's parade...
Renee December 14, 2012 at 05:45 PM
Yes, because we all know how great EVERYONE turns out with a father in their life instead of simply having two loving parents.
nobodyuno December 14, 2012 at 05:49 PM
This is about a baby that was born @ 12:12pm on 12/12/2012 to an obviously loving couple who happen to be lesbians. Stating the facts doesn't slant the story, however omitting the facts would. Do you think black people still belong in the back of the bus also???
nobodyuno December 14, 2012 at 05:57 PM
Congrats ladies!!!
CAN December 14, 2012 at 08:33 PM
Seriously? Who cares? Why are you glorifying such an ungodly behavior? Two females cannot conceive a baby, and should not be living such an ungodly lifestyle. IT IS A CHOICE to rebel against the ONE TRUE and LIVING GOD. These promotions make me sick for the children.
CAN December 14, 2012 at 08:35 PM
D.Morris December 15, 2012 at 07:09 PM
Hey CAN, arent you also going against the bible by discriminating and judging others. I do believe God is the only one who can judge others. Everyone agrees to disagree but the judgement and negativity should be kept in our own families which we have controll of. I am not gay, I am a straight married woman but I will NOT judge anyone else for their choices because I am not the one supporting them or making their family decisions so I as many others dont have the right. Not one person judging is perfect and do everything by the good book, we are all human and make our OWN decisions and not all of our decisions are based upon whats right, we do whats right for our family. So stop judging because you my dear are doing just as much wrong by doing so! Personally I think its wonderful that these children have a loving and caring home instead of being put into the system like so many other children and amazingly enough all the children in the system have been made by a man and a woman!

There is so much more going on in the world right now!! These to women are very happy with their new baby boy. Congrats on him. Your doing a great job!! I can't believe people would worry about a title of a story.
Jacob Beddows February 03, 2014 at 11:41 PM
