Heat on Tap in San Gorgonio Pass: Highs in 90s to 100 in Cabazon Possible

High pressure building over the region including the Pass on Friday and Saturday is expected to bring daytime temperatures 'ranging between 10 and 20 degrees above normal,' forecasters say.

Highs in the 90s and up to 100 degrees are possible in the San Gorgonio Pass on Friday and Saturday, with the warmest temperatures expected in Cabazon, according to forecasts.

Daytime highs from Beaumont to Cabazon on Friday are expected to range between 89 and 97, according to the National Weather Service.

Highs on Saturday could range from the low 90s in Beaumont to 100 in Cabazon, according to the Weather Service.

The heat could mean temps 10 to 20 degrees above normal, and the first triple-digit readings of the year in the San Gorgonio Pass, according to the Weather Service.

The Weather Service advised residents and visitors limit outdoor activities, drink plenty of fluids - avoiding caffeine and alcohol, and dress in loose-fitting, light-colored clothing.
