Black Mountain Trail above the San Gorgonio Pass had a few visitors Saturday afternooon.

People from Temecula and Los Angeles County enjoyed afternoon temperatures in the 70s at 6,000 feet elevation and higher in the San Jacinto Mountains.

The trailhead is off Highway 243, between Poppet Flats and Lake Fulmor. Take a map, sunscreen, at least a quart of water per person, and headlamps if you start early morning or late afternoon.
