UPDATE: Storm, Flash Flooding Reported Sunday North of Cabazon

At 3:45 p.m., radar "indicated flash flooding from a storm just north of Cabazon," the National Weather Service stated in a flash flood warning update. Latest warning in effect until 5:30 p.m.

Update 4:20 p.m. The most recent flash flood warning was for "extreme south central San Bernardino County and north central Riverside County," which includes the foothills of the San Gorgonio high country and the San Jacinto Mountains.

It was in effect until 5:30 p.m., according to NWS.

Update 4:05 p.m. At 3:45 p.m., radar "indicated flash flooding from a storm just north of Cabazon," the National Weather Service stated in a flash flood warning update.

"Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway," the Weather Service warned. "The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground."

Posted 11:57 a.m. Monsoonal moisture and highs between 100 and 110 degrees returned Sunday to the San Gorgonio Pass, and the National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for the region until 7 p.m.

Slow movement of potential storms could result in greater chances of locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding, according to the Weather Service.

Recently burned area will be "particularly susceptible to flash flooding and heavy debris flows, the Weather Service advised.

The flash flood watch was issued at 11:29 a.m. and it was in effect until 7 p.m. Sunday.
