Five Things to Know for Tuesday in the San Gorgonio Pass

Here are five things to know for Tuesday July 23 in the San Gorgonio Pass:

- There's a special meeting of the Beaumont Unified School District board scheduled at 9 a.m. July 23 at 350 W. Brookside Ave. in Beaumont. The Board of Trustees plans a "Governance Leadership Study Session" to develop priorities for the 2013-14 school year, according to the meeting agenda, which you can read by clicking here.

- The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is scheduled to reopen today, with the first tram up at 10 a.m. July 23, after being closed five days due to smoke from the Mountain FireMount San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness Area will remain closed for additional evaluations, Lena Zimmerschied of the tram said in an announcement Monday afternoon.

- Several Beaumont/Banning Stay At Home Moms plan to celebrate National Hot Dog Day at Wienerschnitzel. According to Wienerschnitzel on Facebook, all of July is National Hot Dog Month. And the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council does indeed recognize July 23 each year as National Hot Dog Day. No matter where you celebrate, don't forget the napkins.

- The Banning City Council has two meetings beginning at 4 p.m. July 23 with a special meeting and closed session items including potential litigation and real property negotiations. There will be opportunity for the public to address closed session items. To read the agenda click here.
