Fees Waived for National Forests + Joshua Tree on MLK Holiday Weekend

Adventure Pass fees will not be required in the San Bernardino National Forest and entrance fees will be waived at Joshua Tree National Park, officials said.

Most fees will be waived this weekend in the San Bernardino National Forest and at Joshua Tree National Park.

Adventure Pass fees, normally required for parking at trailheads and other popular sites, including Lake Fulmor off Highway 243, are not required for the Martin Luther King holiday weekend, Jan. 14 to Jan. 16, a spokesman for the San Bernardino National Forest said.

Likewise, entrance fees are not required this weekend at Joshua Tree National Park.

Camping and other fees remain in effect.

The San Bernardino National Forest covers more than 1,000 square miles from Mt. Baldy on the L.A. County line and Cucamonga Peak to both sides of the San Gorgonio Pass, and southeast into the Santa Rosa Mountains.
