Eight-Week Dog Training Course Begins 7 p.m. at Noble Creek Park in Beaumont

The class will meet 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Monday for eight weeks, and the cost is $95, said Diane Gonzalez of the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Recreation & Park District.

A dog trainer serving the Redlands, Yucaipa and Beaumont area plans to teach an eight-week course at Noble Creek Community Park starting Monday, Oct. 10.

The class will meet 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Monday for eight weeks, and the cost is $95, said Diane Gonzalez of the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Recreation & Park District.

Elicia Casey of Enlighten Dogs will teach the classes, Gonzalez said.

The classes are for anyone age 8 years to adult, and their dogs. Ages 8 to 15 must have an adult with them during the classes, Gonzalez said.

Dogs must be on leashes and fully vaccinated.

"The class will cover basic obedience skills sit, stay, come," Gonzalez said. "You will learn and practice leadership skills; teach your dog socialization skills; learn to read your dog’s body language; and practice new skills through fun exercises and games."

Casey is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
