Another Cool Spot Close to Banning

Lake Fulmor, a few miles past the Vista Grande Fire Station on Highway 243, offers mountain views, shade, picnic tables, trails, and fishing. A $5 Adventure Pass required for parking. The scenic drive is less than 30 minutes from Banning.

The afternoon highs today in Cabazon, Banning and Beaumont were in the low to mid 90s, but it was at least 15 degrees cooler up at Lake Fulmor.

The man-made reservoir, a few miles past the Vista Grande Fire Station on Highway 243, offers mountain views, shade, picnic tables, trails, and fishing. A $5 Adventure Pass is required for parking.

The scenic drive is less than 30 minutes from south Banning. The parking lot was nearly empty Tuesday afternoon.
