If you haven't disposed of your Christmas tree, you can still get it picked up for free through this weekend in Banning and Beaumont.
Waste Management will pick up the trees on your regular collection day-- amended for delayed service after the Christmas and New Year’s holidays-- through Jan. 5.
Rather than setting your tree on the curb, though, you're asked to cut it up and place it inside the green waste container. The trees will be sent for recycling, according to Eloisa Orozco of Waste Management.

Trees that are flocked, however, will not be recycled-- though they'll still be collected.
If you don't have green waste service in Banning or Beaumont-- or you miss the Jan. 5 deadline-- you can call for a bulk-item pick-up at 1-800-423-9986.
Riverside County residential customers can also drop off their trees at Lambs Canyon or Badlands landfills for free (please call the County at 951-486-3200 for additional information).
