Beaumont Power Outage Affects 1,700+ Monday Morning

Southern California Edison officials tell Patch that more than 1,700 people lost power early Monday morning in Beaumont.

The outage, reported at 5:38 a.m., initially affected a total of 1,728 customers near the Sundance community. As of 7:50 a.m., we were told 1,300 people were still without power.

"Our crews are on scene working to restore power," SCE Spokeswoman Lois Pitter Bruce told Patch at the time.

The cause of the outage is under investigation.

At 8:23 a.m., power was restored to all customers, an SCE spokesman said.

The boundaries of the outage were: Sun Lakes to the north, 1st Street to the south, Highland Springs to the East, and Beaumont Avenue to the west.
