In a time when the economy is rough and everyday news leaves a negative impression, it is hard to find that small ray of optimism.
The Beaumont-Cherry Valley Recreation and Park District (BCVRPD) has found a community champion, Mr. Donnie Wheeler owner of KAD Paving Company in Yucaipa. Mr. Wheeler, a Beaumont resident, has coached Beaumont Youth Baseball for 3 years, his 3 children have played in Beaumont Youth Baseball for 4 years and he has 4 adult softball teams that play in the Adult Softball Leagues at Noble Creek Park.
Tuesday Mr. Wheeler came to Noble Creek Community Park with his work crew to resurface the roadway and parking areas, and re-stripe the parking stalls and curbing in the 150,000 sq. ft parking lot and roadway that makes up Noble Creek Park.
His company will be donating over $30,000 in labor and material to complete the project. He will also be resurfacing the tennis court and replacing the net.
“I wanted to do this for the community and the Park District and I wanted it completed before Beaumont Youth Baseball’s opening day,” Wheeler said.
"KAD Paving and its owner’s are what makes Beaumont such a special place," BCVRPD Chairman, Dan Hughes said. "On behalf of a grateful community we say Thank You!’
