Fishing Derby Scheduled for April at Water District Ponds

 It’s that time again! The long awaited Beaumont-Cherry Valley Recreation and Park District’s 7th Annual Fishing Derby is here!  

Come join us on Saturday, April 26th at the Beaumont Cherry Valley Water District Ponds, 39451 Cherry Valley Blvd.  

The Derby is for children ages 14 years and under, all children must be accompanied by an adult.  There is a $10.00 Fishing Derby entry fee which includes fishing, prizes and lunch prepared by the Beaumont Lions Club.  Fishing assistance will be given by the Kiwanis Club.  Please bring your own fishing poles and power bait.  Hot Dog lunches are available for purchase.  Fishing will be from 8:00 – 11:00 am, awards will be from 11:15 – 11:45 pm and lunch from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. 

We are currently taking pre-registration at Noble Creek Community Center, 390 W. Oak Valley Parkway to register.  Pre-registration is highly recommended to avoid long lines the day of the event.  Registration will begin at 7:00 am at the Ponds for those who did not pre-register.

The 3rd Annual Adult Derby will take place from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 27th.  There will be one prize for the overall largest fish caught by an adult (ages 15 and older). Open fishing will be all day on Sunday for $5.00 (no fishing license is needed per the Riverside County Fish and Game) call Beaumont-Cherry Valley Recreation and Park District (951)845-9555 for further registration information
