Libi, I find it really interesting that in the past you posted some very scathing comments aboutRead Moreex- chief Purvis "stealing" money from Banning, but now you come out in support of him trying to get more? Your agenda is showing. **** Jeremiah

Libi, you are full of crap and sticking your nose in things you know nothing about. There is noRead Moreviol ation of the Brown act here at all. Thank you for posting the Press-Enterprise article, but it is erroneous - this woman Gail is known for presenting partial and erroneous information. I am closely involved in this and it has nothing to do with any "letter of recommendation". It has to do with Takata overstepping his authority and making unauthorized changes in the development contract for "The Village at El Paseo San Gorgonio" which has place the City in jeopardy of a lawsuit by Riverside County and other actions overstepping his authority and bypassing the Council and public comment. **** What we have here is a lawyer seeing dollars who convinced Takata not to take a very lenient settlement, which caused the Council to remove him by firing him instead of letting him quit. This same lawyer approached Purvis and convinced him to be a part of a lawsuit against the City. It is simply a money play designed to extort money from the City, using past issues as a base. **** There was nothing mentioned at the Town Hall meeting because three members of the Council were present and to discuss it would have been a Brown Act violation - you should know that. It isn't on the agenda for April 22nd because it is not being discussed or dealt with at that meeting - you should know that as well. **** Once again, why don't you stay in Sacramento and quit involving yourself in stuff you know nothing about and trying to create an issue where there is none for your own purposes? You know none of the Banning Council, Purvis, Takata, or the lawyer. You are jumping to conclusions based on an article by a reporter known for her inaccuracies and incomplete reporting. I personally spoke to this writer and presented her with the issues with the development contract and she very rudely rejected any information which went counter to her poorly written story and preconceived agenda. **** Banning now has a Council which is actively working to obtain public comment and suggestion upon which to base their decisions, and which has moved beyond the agenda of the old Council. Potshotting at Council members for not doing what you think they should do without attending Council meetings or contacting Council members saying what you want is low-class. You haven't been to one single Council meeting or Town Hall meeting or spoken even one time to any Council member or Banning citizen, Libi, and yet you are trying to be an expert based on a newspaper article? Shame on you - certainly you are smarter than that! **** Jeremiah

Mr. Price: How is it that you personally have knowledge of why Mr. Takata was fired? I have notRead Morehe ard or seen anything that would suggest what you are reporting. Unless you're being "fed" information from insiders, which is a Brown Act violation??? Just curious! Probably an offshoot of the Sovereign citizen movement which tries to tweek certain language in the Read MoreConstitution to define themselves as separate and not beholden to the normal laws. They tell their people things just like your neighbor says, but I've secured and cleaned a dozen of those properties with all the postings and declarations. In the end, they likely lose it all. puerto rico pays no federal tax, but all state citizens are burdened with federal taxes ... if aRead Moreper son never files they would have to make a lot of money before they get the feds' attention... i know people in cali that have never filed state or federal taxes in their lives, but they're poor ... -------------------------------------------------------------------------- my problem with citizens of cali paying federal taxes is that the money is taken out of our state to support other states ....we pay $1.30 for every dollar we receive in federal money....that's the fault of our federal congressmen and senators .... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ we has federal forests, an international border, and 900 miles of coastline....our federal tax dollars should stay in cali for our use on a federal level .....

The picture l linked to was a fairly old pic, taken well after Danny Thomas had already sold theRead Morepla ce. In the early 70s when he still owned it, there was lots of additional landscaping, with bushes along both sides of the driveway and nice gates at the front. From what I understand, it actually did have a second floor, below the ground floor and on the back side, facing the canyon.

Yes, I kind of wonder also why a person needs to be paid over $100k to do a good job as CityRead MoreManager . The last go-round seems to prove that doesn't work. The last manager was paid almost $300k if this article is right and overstepped his authority and put Banning in jeopardy of lawsuits over the El Paseo project. Even worse than that, he compromised the wishes of the citizens he works for in making unauthorized changes to that project which were to the sole benefit of the developer. Maybe we should hire at $100k and increase it each year that we are happy with their service and the results of the job they do. Any City Manager worth his salt ought to be able to save or produce enough money for the City to cover his increase in salary or he shouldn't get one, would be the logical way to look at it. **** Jeremiah
