Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Eastbound 60 West of Dowling's Fruit

The crash was reported at 5:11 a.m. Saturday in west Beaumont, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two people were hospitalized Saturday morning with injuries from a two-vehicle crash on eastbound State Route 60 just west of Dowling Fruit Orchard in west Beaumont, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.

The crash was reported at 5:11 a.m. Saturday as a red truck versus a white Hyundai, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The subjects in the red truck were injured, according to the CHP.

Two Cal Fire engine crews responded and a multi-vehicle traffic collision with victims trapped, Cheri Patterson of Cal Fire-Riverside County said.

"A total of three vehicles were involved in the collision, and one victim required extrication," Patterson said. "Two patients were transported via ground ambulance to a local area hospital."

One patient was critically injured and the other had minor injuries, according to Patterson. They were not identified and an update on their conditions was not available at noon Saturday.

Three tow truck crews were called out to help clear the accident scene, according to the Highway Patrol. The 60 was reported clear at 6:01 a.m.

Dowling Fruit Orchard is just west of the Interstate 10-60 split, on the south side of the 60.
