Light Rain Possible Tuesday Afternoon and Evening in Area Including the Pass
Snow levels may come down to 6,000 feet elevation, with up to 3 inches possible in the mountains on both sides of the Pass.
A Pacific weather system is expected to bring light rain and snow Tuesday afternoon and evening in the mountains to an area including the San Gorgonio Pass.
Light precipitation is expected to arrive in the Pass area Tuesday afternoon and evening, with up to 3 inches of snow possible in the mountains above 6,000 feet elevation, according to the National Weather Service.
"Roadways could be slippery . . . especially during the onset of the rain and during the afternoon rush hour due to oil buidup on the rooads . . . as it will have been more than two weeks since the rain," the Weather Service advised.
Overnight lows Monday into Tuesday for Beaumont, Banning and Cabazon are expected in the high 40s, with daytime highs Tuesday from the 50s to mid 60s.
Dry and warmer weather with offshore flow and gusty northeast winds are expected to return Thursday and Friday, according to the Weather Service.
