Cattle Killed After Big Rig Overturns
Lanes of Sanderson Avenue and the Ramona Expressway in San Jacinto were closed for several hours this morning.
Lanes of Sanderson Avenue and the Ramona Expressway in San Jacinto were closed for several hours this morning due to an overturned semi-truck.
The truck was transporting around 150 cattle, several of which were killed in the crash.
The initial investigation shows the driver was turning north onto Sanderson Avenue from eastbound Ramona Expressway when the vehicle overturned, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

No other vehicles were involved.
Cal Fire also responded to the scene to help rescue the cattle from the trailer.
